Welcome to Inclusion Zone.

The mission of Inclusion Zone (IZ) is to provide education and resources to parents, families and the general public that facilitate the full inclusion of children with disabilities in all areas of life. IZ promotes the understanding and recognition of issues that impact inclusion, and develops high impact programs and partnerships that help educate society on the inclusion of people with disabilities.

Presently, IZ is the broadcaster of The Mary&Melissa Show on BlogTalkRadio.com, a podcast that addresses issues of concern to parents and families of children with disabilities.

The podcast has been running since January 2012 with an average following of 3,000 hits per show. Guests have included: former US Attorney General Dick Thornburgh discussing the Convention on the Rights of People with Disabilities, Pulitzer Prize winner Buzz Bissinger debuting his latest book ”Father’s Day: A Journey into the Mind and Heart of My Extraordinary Son”, US Assistant Secretary of Education Alexa Posny speaking on the use of restraints and seclusion in schools, and filmmaker Dan Habib.

Mary Dolan and Melissa Rizio are the co-founders of Inclusion Zone and co-hosts of The Mary&Melissa Show. They are both parents of children with disabilities, residing in Washington, DC.
